Full Bio
Frontman Victor Dean grew up listening to country and blues music coming from dusty speakers on a horse farm in the small town of Tully, New York. He wanted to play guitar since he was little but was told his hands were too small so he started on drums instead. As a classically trained drummer, he was a standout as he performed in a variety of bands in the 90's before moving to Buffalo, NY for college in the 2000's. Immersed in the same irrefutable groove that birthed Spyro Gyra, Rick James, and Billy Sheehan, he took his drumming to another level. After earning multiple degrees and winning world and national titles in bodybuilding, Victor decided to learn how to play the guitar on his 30th birthday. He hit the ground running, hosting multiple open mics to meet and learn from other musicians, and hasn't looked back since.
These days, Dr. Victor Dean is a musician and chiropractor in New Braunfels, Texas and his performances now include a message of inspiration, as he encourages others to follow their dreams and not let age stop them from learning new things. His journey has offered him the opportunity to live and perform all across the country, including New York, California, Iowa, and Texas. He is now arguably one of the area's most proficient guitar talents and he performs all across the region, covering a wide range of genres, including country, blues, funk, and surf rock. He performs a mix of covers and originals and he played all the instruments on his original album Real Life, released in the spring of '25 and featured on WHBF Channel 4. His deep, rich vocals and wide range of crowd pleasers from Stevie Ray Vaughan and ZZ Top to Garth Brooks and Johnny Cash will leave you wanting more. Whether you’re booking the full band or his solo acoustic act, audiences are sure to enjoy a performance from the Victor Dean Project!
